Commentaire:	This is a perfectly renovated apartment at the first floor (so you avoid the scary lifts so common in Minsk) of a popular but not huge building. The only slight disadvantage is the location: you need 2 metro stops to get in the center. But you are still very close to it and the walk from the metro won't take more than 5 minutes. On the folklorist side you are in a real place with real people living and real grandmothers selling stuff in the real cold mornings. Metro from the center is 360 rubles, converted in Euro that means: free. The taxi is about 9000 (3 euro), as long as the taxi meter is on. We visited a close by restaurant and it was like a jump in the soviet past. One of the highlights of our trip. The food was ok, the service very nice. So, the location is actually interesting. All the rest is a great 5, as it is brand new (if you are reading this in 2025, please note we have been there in November 2007). Aleksander is young, western minded and the perfect host: speaks good english, has a good attitude (don't take this for granted in a land where every smile must be deserved) and will answer to any question in a professional way (read: you won't ask yourself "am I asking too much? Does he want to go?", nor "ok, ok, when is he leaving, I want to take my shower now"). Flat screen TV would do with some non-russian content so we never used it and ADSL internet should be there soon. I do recommend this place.
